All throughout this chapter, we have discovered modules that help you in improving or fine-tuning the configuration of your web server. Nginx fiercely stands up to other concurrent web servers in terms of functionality, and its approach towards virtual hosts and the way they are configured will probably convince many administrators to make the switch.
Three additional modules were left out though. The FastCGI module will be approached in the next chapter, as it will allow us to configure a gateway to applications such as PHP or Python. The second one, the proxy module, which lets us design complex setups, will be described in Chapter 7, From Apache to Nginx. Finally, The upstream module will be detailed in Chapter 8, Introducing Load Balancing and Optimization.
