Viewing and running reports


Service-Now can provide reports in Excel, PDF, and image formats, but regarding business reporting, where business heads, managers, or executives ask for reports, Service-Now reporting seems to be weak. It is worth including a few scenarios here: Every company has their own format or reporting template, which may include a logo, styles, color combination, or reports on different report sheets in the same Excel workbook; this kind of reporting is not feasible from Service-Now. In this recipe, you will see how to view and run already existing reports in the Service-Now environment.

Getting ready

For this recipe, you need an active Service-Now instance and valid credentials or a valid role. If you have a role as an admin, ITIL, report group, or group admin, then you can access Service-Now reports.
