Creating a basic QoS configuration


We will now create a basic QoS configuration for TenantA.

How to do it...

  1. Navigate to Tenants | TenantA | Application Profiles | TenantA_AP1 | Application EPGs | EPG TenantA_EPG1.
  2. Click on the dropdown next to Custom QoS and select Create Custom QOS Policy.
  1. Name the policy.
  2. Click on the plus sign next to DSCP to priority map.
  3. From the Priority dropdown, select Level1
  1. Select AF13 from the DSCP Range From dropdown.
  2. Select AF22 from the DSCP Range To dropdown.
  3. Select AF31 as the DSCP Target.
  4. Set the Target CoS to 5.
  1. Click on Update.
  2. Click on the plus sign next to Dot1P Classifiers.
  3. Set the Priority to Level1, the Dot1P Range From to 1, and the Dot1P Range To to 3.
  4. Set the DSCP Target to CS1 and the Target COS to 1.
  1. Click on Submit.
  2. Click on Submit again on the main screen.

How it works...

Using these steps, we created some custom QoS translations. We translated the ingress QoS markings to our own egress markings.
