Chaining web security vulnerabilities


When adversaries target a type of IoT device, multiple vulnerabilities are often used in weaponizing an exploit. These vulnerabilities may be low in criticality by themselves; however, when combined, the exploit impact is much greater. It is not uncommon for a combination of low vulnerabilities to escalate into a critical vulnerability. This is especially important with regard to IoT devices. One critical bug discovered in an IoT device can compromise the integrity of the device.
