Interpreting data from Device Manager


When adding new hardware to a Windows 10 computer, it is installed automatically. That is because Windows 10 DriverStore is rich in device drivers, and that Plug and Play plays an important role in recognizing the new hardware too. Also, Windows 10 is equipped with a variety of connection methods, such as USB, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Additionally, Windows 10 has built-in support for emerging technologies such as Near-Field Communication (NFC) and Miracast. Despite all that, it is worth mentioning Device Manager; although it is a legacy management tool, which is one of the favorite system administrators tools, Device Manager helps getting first-hand information about every hardware component, including device type, device status, manufacturer, device-specific properties, and device driver information.

Viewing the device's status

To view the device status in your Windows 10 computer using Device Manager, complete the following steps:
