Chapter lab – Turning off Internet Explorer


In this chapter lab, you will learn how to turn off Internet Explorer in Windows 10 using the Windows Features tool.

Disabling Internet Explorer in Windows 10

To turn off Internet Explorer in Windows 10, complete the following steps:

  1. Click the search box on the taskbar and enter Turn Windows features on or off.
  2. Click the Best match, which is Turn Windows features on or off.
  3. On a Windows Features dialog box, locate and uncheck Internet Explorer.
  4. ClickYesto close the warning dialog box.
  5. Click OK to close the Windows Features dialog box (see the following screenshot):

  1. Windows Features will start to Apply Changes.
  2. Once completed, Windows Features displays the message Windows completed the requested changes.
  3. Click Restart now to close the Windows Features dialog box.
