Untangle NGFW offers different tools that you can use to troubleshoot your network connectivity; the different tools can be located by navigating to Config | Network | Troubleshooting. The following table lists the different troubleshooting tools and their function:

This tests the ability of your Untangle NGFW to resolve and connect to http://updates.untangle.com. |

Ping test |
This tests the ability of Untangle NGFW to reach the remote destination using echo requests. The remote destination can be entered as a hostname or IP. |

DNS test |
This tests the ability of Untangle NGFW to resolve a domain name and get its IP. |
|
Connection test |
This tests the status of a port on a remote machine; just enter the remote machine name or IP and the desired port. |

Traceroute test |
This is used to see the different hops between you and the remote machine. |
