Knowing the best practices when installing Elastix – Physical security


Whenever we need to install a solution based on Elastix, we must visualize our system in the best way to provide an excellent performance.

If we consider it appropriate, we can divide our system into three servers as follows, in order to distribute the load among these servers:

  • Application Server (Apache, Fax, OpenFire, FOP, FreePBX, WebGUI, etc.).

  • PBX Server (Asterisk and its components).

  • Database Server (MySQL server).

  • Design a distributed system with the help of the DUNDi protocol and DRBD.
