Using the Endpoint Configurator


The Endpoint Configurator menu allows us to search within a network for the presence of any connected IP devices (or endpoints) that are already configured/provisioned or that could be configured/provisioned.

It also allows us to change the current configuration of an already configured device, and generate or regenerate its configuration files (if supported). It can also generate the configuration files for some supported media gateways, for manufacturers such as Patton or Audio Codes. It uses the following options:

  • MAC address

  • IP address

  • Vendor

  • Model

  • Extension to assign

  • Current extension

The actions are as follows:

  • Discover endpoints in this network: The network and the net mask in the format of Network/Net Mask bits.

  • Set: Applies the relationship of the options mentioned above.

  • Unset: Removes the relation of the options mentioned above.

  1. Enter the subnet to scan to see whether or not there are any IP devices suitable that are for configuration.
