Summary

In this chapter, we discovered other ways we can integrate with SharePoint using the out-of-the-box Web Services that SharePoint provides. We were also introduced to other techniques that can be used to interact with SharePoint 2010 including the SharePoint Client Object model, RESTful services, and Business Connectivity Services.

In the next chapter, we will be moving away from SharePoint but continuing to discuss integration with ERP systems. This time instead of focusing on a generic ERP system, we will be investigating what is involved when integrating with Microsoft's ERP system Dynamics AX.
