Collecting events from WCF and WF services


Windows Server AppFabric makes it very simple to configure monitoring for WCF and WF services. Gaining insight into the execution state of a WCF or WF service requires a considerable amount of configuration, which can be cumbersome to create initially and to manually maintain in the long run. Windows Server AppFabric signifantly simplifies things.

In this recipe, we will learn how to configure monitoring for WCF and WF services as well as develop an understanding of the different tracking profiles that are available.

Getting ready

We will use the Reservation Service sample WF application that is available for download as part of the resources available for this book.
