Configuring Session Handoff


The Session Handoff feature allows users to move a call between desk phone, soft phone, and mobile phones all the while allowing the user to continue the conversation until the other end is picked up.

Configuring Session Handoff requires configuration of two service parameters detailed as follows.

How to do it...

To configure Session Handoff, perform the following:

  1. First navigate to the service parameters page (System | Service Parameters).

  2. Select the appropriate server from the Server drop-down.

  3. Select Cisco CallManager as the Service.

  4. Scroll down to the section titled Clusterwide Parameters (Device – General).

  5. Change the Session Handoff Alerting Timer.

  6. Finally, scroll down near the bottom to the section titled Clusterwide Parameters (System – Mobility).

  7. Configure Enterprise Feature Access Code for Session Handoff.

  8. Click on Save.
