Being mobile – the mobility advantage


Let us go back to some other advantages of Lync 2013. On "office days" after lunch in the Microsoft canteen, I often go to the customers in the Seattle or Bellevue area to give presentations on topics such as the latest Lync Server, Lync and Skype in customer care and contact centers, Exchange Server, Social Networking, and/or cloud services news. At times, I have to participate in short, five-minute telephone conferences during the trip. Therefore, I take out my Windows Phone and select the option "Join Conference Call" from my mobile calendar. I am very happy with the simple and intuitive user interface of the Windows Phone 8, especially the easy connectivity of the mobile Lync client. I am definitely much happier with Windows Phone's new interface as compared to the older version of Windows Phone 6.5, which makes it difficult to just select the right calendar, appointment, or to communicate via e-mail or instant messaging.
