From decision, Proof of Concept, to rollout of UC


After the RFP process, the decision to "go" with one selected UC solution is usually the start of the "Proof of Concept" stage. However, based on the facts presented and the knowledge of other reference (deployment) projects from other companies, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) can decide to start with the full introduction of the UC solution from Microsoft and to run the POC inside the production environment of the company immediately. In many organizations, the decision brings the POC into a production rollout to every end user comes only after a successful POC.

In some other projects such as Contoso, the organizational environment and the business division were already prepared before the technical part of the project started. Both ways are absolutely valid to start a communications and collaborations project and especially in more complex environments such as enterprise companies, it is sometimes more important to start with the "organizational...
