In every workflow system, there are actors who play out the processes. MCMS provides eight different user roles. Each of these user roles comes with unique responsibilities and is given specific rights.
Subscribers are visitors to the site. They have read-only access to those areas of the site to which they have been granted access.
Authors are sometimes known as content contributors or providers. They create postings and edit them. When their work is ready, they usually submit it to an editor/moderator for review.
Editors have all the powers of an author. In addition, they can approve or decline content that authors submit to them and send the posting up the workflow process.
Moderators have all the power of an author. In addition they can approve or decline changes to the posting's properties or location.
