Connected templates and postings are useful for repurposing content without re-editing it or creating multiple copies of postings across many channels. They are different from postings created using the Copy
function, which creates two completely independent postings and so changing the contents of one copy does not affect the other.
When you create a connected posting, you create postings where changes to one do affect the other. To understand this better, let's take a closer look at what connected templates and postings really are.
Connected templates share the same underlying placeholder definitions. For example a template, named Public, could have the following settings:
