If you already have an MCMS 2002 database, say from another server, you can point MCMS to it instead of an empty database.
Before proceeding, ensure that the MCMS database has been assigned rights as listed in the section Assigning Users and Specifying Role Membership to the MCMS Database in Chapter 2.
Start the Database Configuration Application by pointing to Start | Programs | Microsoft Content Management Server | Database Configuration Application

to get past the splash screen.

. The next screen is the Select Database dialog. There, you will find the name of the database that your MCMS server is currently connected to. To change this database, click Select Database
. Fill in the details of the Server location, Database Name and credentials used to authenticate with the server in the SQL Server Login dialog.
