Another useful placeholder available out of the box is the AttachmentPlaceholder
. The AttachmentPlaceholder
stores a link to a single document contained in the MCMS content repository. This document could exist in the resource gallery or it could be uploaded directly from the author's hard disk.
You will find it useful for a page that has a specific area containing links to documents and files for users to download and view. An HtmlPlaceholder
could be used as a substitute. Authors could simply click on the Add Attachment
button and add attachments to the HtmlPlaceholderControl
. But doing so would mean that authors could attach an unlimited number of files and mix them together with the text/HTML (which may or may not be what you are looking for), and there would be no way to specify how the links are organized and laid out on the page.
The AttachmentPlaceholder
