We're well on our way to creating an intelligent conversation with our fortune teller. I hear you. Can a conversation with a fortune teller really be intelligent? An implicit lesson in all of this is that sometimes you need a suspension of disbelief in order to enjoy a good book, a movie, or a Scratch project.

We have seen the power that the lists and variables give us to create dynamic, flexible, and fun projects. As you worked through this chapter, you probably realized that we could have used lists in some of our previous projects. For example, our scripts in Chapter 05, Creating a Multimedia Slideshow, would have been much smaller had we used lists. However, by avoiding lists in the earlier chapters, I ensure the projects are suitable for the youngest of Scratchers, and it sets up a nice illustration of the pragmatic usefulness of lists and variables.
