Step 3 – define the criteria of analysis


According to the description of hurricane_evacuation_zones, there are six zones, ranked in the attribute field zone by risk of storm surge impact, with zone 1 being the region most likely to be flooded. In the event of a hurricane or tropical storm, residents in these zones may be ordered to evacuate. Areas with a zone value of X are not in any evacuation zone. Areas with a zone value of 0 are any of the following: water, small piers, or uninhabited islands. For the purpose of analysis, this layer should be rasterized and ranked according to the risk of hurricane impact, with rank values descending from areas that are not in any evacuation zone to those most likely to be flooded.

The hurricane_inundation_zones polygon layer contains information about the risk of storm surge inundation in the category attribute field, in which the value is the surge height in feet. Areas that are most likely to be inundated are assigned a value of 1, and areas that...
