Making mobile apps available to CRM users
Mobile apps are becoming more and more common in all areas of life, including work. Users of software applications will expect, more and more, to have at least some or most functionality available on a mobile app. A plan for the future should include a mobile app component.
Some benefits of mobile apps are:
Users can use them at any time no matter where they are, such as at home, at work, on a customer site, or in a coffee shop
Well-designed mobile apps are simple and intuitive to use, requiring little training or documentation.
Mobile apps are easy to install and upgrade
Some disadvantages of mobile apps are:
Mobile apps favor simpler workflows, over more complex workflows. Integration workflows tend to be more complex. Not all integration workflows may be suitable for mobile apps. For example, a complex order entry screen may need to be redesigned as a simple order entry screen, which will only work for basic orders for a mobile app.
