Introduction

The ArcGIS Spatial Analyst extension offers a lot of great tools for geoprocessing raster data. Most of the Spatial Analyst tools generate a new raster output. Before starting a raster analysis session, it's best practice to set the main analysis environment parameters settings (for example, scratch the workspace, extent, and cell size of the output raster). In this chapter, you will store all raster datasets in file geodatabase as file geodatabase raster datasets.
