Publishing to SAP BW

This recipe shows you how to publish a dashboard to a SAP BW system. Once a dashboard is saved to the system, it can be published within a SAP Enterprise Portal iView and made available for users to view.

Getting ready

For this recipe, you will need a completed dashboard. This dashboard does not necessarily have to include a data connection to SAP BW.

How to do it...

Select Publish in the SAP menu. If you want to save the SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards model with a different name, select the Publish As... option.
If you are not yet connected to the SAP BW system, a pop up will appear. Select the appropriate system and fill in your username and password in the dialog box.
If you want to disconnect from the SAP BW system and connect to a different system, select the Disconnect option from the SAP menu.
Enter the Description and Technical Name of the dashboard. You can choose to save the dashboard as a role or just into your Favorites folder. Click on Save. The dashboard is now...
