Selecting data from a SQLite database

As in the case of inserting data into a database, it is quite difficult to imagine any application that uses a database but does not select any data from it. Thus, in this recipe, you will learn how to select data from particular tables in a database using Language Integrated Query (LINQ). What is interesting is that you do not need to write raw SQL queries on your own, thus it may be a really convenient and simple solution.

As an example, you will modify the project from the previous recipe to load data of all categories and entries after initializing the database. The list of categories will be shown in a drop-down list, while the list of entries in a dedicated place on the left-hand side.
