Enforcing the use of two-letter account country codes using a validation rule


Accurate information and reports are vital in an effective Salesforce CRM system, and without them, users and sales management cannot make informed decisions. One way to achieve accurate information for reporting is by ensuring that data is stored in a consistent manner.

In this recipe, we will create a validation rule to ensure that account country codes are entered using two letters, according to an international standard (ISO 3166) set by the International Organization for Standardization.

How to do it...
