Configuring a report chart and embedding it within an account record using Lightning App Builder

In this recipe, we will configure an opportunity report containing a chart that shows the number of opportunities grouped by sales stage. Using the created report, we will embed the chart within an account record page, which filters the list of opportunities and shows only for the account in which the chart is being viewed.

Getting ready

Carry out the following steps to create an opportunity report with a chart that is grouped by the standard field stage:

  1. Click on the Reports tab.
  2. Click on New Report, as shown in the following screenshot:
  1. In the resulting Create New Report page, select the Opportunities report type.
  2. Click on Create, as shown in the following screenshot:

  2. Create a grouping for the report using the Stage field by dragging the Stage field onto the Drop a fields here to create a grouping section.
