Teams apps usage report

Microsoft Teams is a collaboration hub. It is quite common for IT admins or users to add apps to their Teams environment. For example, a department may favor using the Planner app to organize a happy hour or a colleague's retirement celebration. As an IT admin, you want a clear picture of how often these apps are used, the app's type, versioning, and more to maintain a secure, productive Teams environment. Accessing this report is very similar to that of the Teams usage report:

  1. Navigate to https://admin.teams.microsoft.com and sign in.
  2. On the left, click on Analytics & reports, then Usage reports.
  3. Under the View reports tab, locate Report and select report from the dropdown.
  4. Choose Apps usage.
  5. Locate Date range and select date range from the dropdown.
  6. In this example, we will choose Last 90 days.
  7. Click Run report.
