The Tasks App in Teams

Now that we have explored team-based action tracking in Planner and personal task management in To Do, let's see how it all comes together. While these tools are great separately, you could easily lose track of tasks simply because they live in multiple locations. This is where the Tasks app in Teams comes in. The Tasks app in Teams combines all of your tasks from Planner and To Do into the hub for collaboration.

Adding the Tasks app to Teams

At the time of writing, the Tasks app in Teams is named Tasks by Planner and To Do, though it is in the process of being rebranded to simply Tasks. To get the Tasks app in Teams, follow these steps:

  1. Click Apps on the left rail of Teams to open the App Store:

  1. Search for Tasks using the search bar at the top left and click Tasks by Planner and To Do:
