Chapter 4: Bookings in Teams

As the world experiences a historic shift toward virtual interaction, many organizations must adapt and provide online options for external or internal consultations, appointments, and other meeting types. Microsoft Bookings, a service within Office 365, enables the simple scheduling of virtual appointments powered by Microsoft Teams meetings. The Bookings app allows staff to manage the full orchestration of virtual visits—all within Microsoft Teams.

There are two ways to access the Bookings service: a dedicated web app accessed through the Office 365 home page and the Bookings app in Microsoft Teams.

This chapter will cover the following topics:

  • Bookings using the web app
  • Bookings using the Teams app
  • Differences between the Bookings web and Teams apps

In these sections, we will examine creating services, managing staff, and more.
