Point-to-point integration impacts

When integrating two systems point to point, the connection is necessarily one to one. In a larger enterprise, however, you may be making multiple connections between instances in this fashion.

Continuing to build on the Packt Enterprises example, we'll have two different Salesforce Platform orgs connected to a single Marketing Cloud instance. We'll also have two different B2C Commerce realms connected to a single Salesforce Platform org and Marketing Cloud instance. This overall view is shown in Figure 10.7 in the previous section.

In the following sections, we'll examine the implications of this configuration for Marketing Cloud Connect, B2C CRM sync, and the Commerce and Marketing connector.
