MuleSoft and Heroku are Salesforce acquisitions that are not part of the core Salesforce Platform. Despite that, or perhaps because of it, they can play a unique role in a B2C solution, especially for larger enterprises with more complex data and integration needs.

MuleSoft in Customer 360

MuleSoft is an integration and API platform designed to form the backbone of a larger enterprise integration strategy. When properly leveraged, a solution such as MuleSoft can significantly reduce the time and cost of integration work at scale by creating consistent APIs across disparate technology solutions.
