Performing date, time, and duration calculations with date and time expressions

Almost every app needs the date and time functions in some form or the other. Scheduling apps, project management apps, time-keeping apps, and attendance apps need date and time functions. In this section, you will learn how you can use date and time functions in AppSheet to compute dates, times, and durations in your apps.

Date and time math is more complex than metric or decimal system math because the relationship between various date and time parameters is very uneven. On the other hand, as we are aware, a metric system is even – that is, the units of measurement are always in multiples of 10. The following table shows how each date and time unit of measurement has a different multiplier to calculate the next unit of measurement:
