Now that the basics are set, it's time to get started. In order to follow the next steps, you will need a letter-size notebook, a file folder, and Microsoft Project or Excel along with a folder on a file server, or a laptop. There is a computerized, digital side of project management, but there is also a physical, paper-based side. During the completion of the tasks in our project, we will create and receive processed documents that were generated while working on tasks. Those documents will be stored in an electronic form on a central server and will also be printed. The printed documents will be saved in our file folder.
Consequently, the project plan does not stand by itself, but comes with real printed documents. For this purpose, I recommend establishing a dedicated file folder.
