Summary


In this chapter, we saw the importance of monitoring the process within a process-driven architecture. The design of monitoring is crucial to support well-informed decisions to improve efficiency and innovate within business processes. Following the best practices set out in this chapter will give longevity in their use and allow the reuse of views in multiple dashboards and ADF visualizations that are part of the core application task flows. Tying dashboard views, dashboards, and alerts to business goals and performance indicators allows continuous improvement and constant refinement of the process and rules within the business. A process architecture is not complete unless you can initiate a cycle of monitoring and improvements, so BAM and process analytics become key components of the BPM solution.
