Time for action – configuring the table view in Interface Builder


The first thing that we need to do is update the table view in Interface Builder so that we can access the components that we need in our program code.

  1. Open the Global Currency project in Xcode.

  2. In the project navigator, click on the folder named Global Currency.

  3. From the File menu, select New, and then select File….

  4. Under Mac OS X, select Cocoa.

  5. For the template, select Objective-C class.

  6. Then click on the Next button as shown in the following screenshot:

  7. For the new file options, select a Class of BTS_GCTableViewDelegate and a Subclass of NSObject and then click on the Next button.

  8. When the create file sheet is displayed, click on the Create button to create the new files in the default location. The new files will appear in the project navigator pane as shown in the following screenshot:

  9. In the project navigator, click on the file named MainMenu.xib.
