When we turn off Auto Layout in Xcode, we will need to configure our GUI elements using Autosizing layout.
Select the file named
MainMenu.xib
.Select the iSight Recorder window.
In the File Inspector, disable the Use Auto Layout item, as shown in the following screenshot:
In the
.xib
file, select all of the GUI elements below the Quicktime Capture View.From the Editor menu, select Embed In, and then select Custom View. This will take all of our buttons and sliders and embed them in a subview.
Because we are using Autosizing, we need to make some adjustments to the Autosizing properties of our GUI items in the Size Inspector. Select the Quicktime Preview View and then, using the Size Inspector, select all of the bars and arrows in the Autosizing box, as shown in the following screenshot:
