Barmak Meftah is the President of AT&T Cybersecurity Solutions and CEO of AlienVault, an AT&T company. A veteran of the technology industry with a spectacular track record for delivering award-winning products, he's been passionate about building and leading great teams in enterprise software for over 20 years.

Shira Rubinoff: Could you talk about your background in the industry?

Barmak Meftah: I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees in computer science at the University of San Francisco. Since then, I've been in enterprise software.

I spent the early part of my career with Oracle Corporation. That was my initial exposure to enterprise software. I was running products for a couple of Oracle's mainline businesses: the relational database on the Windows platform and, for a short period of time, the application server.
