Storage Providers
Kubernetes can use storage from a wide range of external systems. These will often be native cloud services such as AWSElasticBlockStore
or AzureDisk
, but they can also be traditional on-premises storage arrays providing iSCSI
or NFS
volumes. Other options exist, but the take-home point is that Kubernetes gets its storage from a wide range of external systems.
Some obvious restrictions apply. For example, you cannot use the AWSElasticBlockStore
provisioner if your Kubernetes cluster is running in Microsoft Azure.
