Chapter 5. Building Your Own Private Clouds Using Amazon VPC

So, in the previous chapter, we covered a lot of different things! We started off with some introductions and working examples of security groups and later on continued with understanding how EC2 networking really works, with a brief look at Elastic IP addresses. To top this off, we also learnt a lot about EBS volumes and their types and how we can create, attach, and manage them.

This chapter, however, is going to be a lot different and interesting as in this chapter, we will explore and learn about an awesome service provided by AWS called Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)! We will learn about the different VPC concepts and terminologies, deployment strategies, and a whole lot more, so stick around; we are just getting started!
