Checking the usage of Azure resources

Azure has soft quotas on a number of resources:

  • Cores

  • Cloud services

  • Storage accounts

To check the number of cores in use, the number of cloud services and the number of storage accounts in use, go the Settings in Azure Management Portal. Then, select the Usage menu item.

The following screenshot shows an example of Usage. If the maximum of 20 cores has been reached, Microsoft support can be contacted to upgrade the number of cores. There is no cost associated with this upgrade.
