This is how you update vCNS.

Getting ready

We need a vCloud environment and a vCNS Manager.

Note

You should always read the Release Notes section, as there may be a special update path that has to be taken.

How to do it...

  1. Log in to vCNS with an Enterprise Admin role.

  2. Navigate to Settings & Reports | Updates. You should now see the following screen:

  3. Click on Upload Upgrade Bundle.

  4. Browse to the tar.gz update file and click on Upload.

  5. Wait until the file has been uploaded.

  6. Check that the version is the correct one and click on Install as shown in the following screenshot:

  7. Wait until the update is finished and the vCNS reboots.

  8. Log back in.

  9. Navigate to Settings & Reports | Updates.

  10. Check the update status.
