Summary

In this chapter we focused on building the Database as a Service (DBaaS) variant of a Platform as a Service (PaaS) implementation of cloud computing using Oracle Enterprise Manager. Oracle has a very strong backend database and networking technology stack and Oracle Enterprise Manager incorporates all of the components very effectively. We also saw how effectively we can use the chargeback mechanism offered by Oracle Enterprise Manager. We will discuss the comprehensive set of monitoring options in the next chapter.
