OpenStack daemons can't connect to qpidd


If OpenStack components are not able to connect to the qipdd and if the error message displays: ''Address family for hostname not supported,'' then it means the problem is with the IP configuration on one of the interfaces.

This can happen if IPv6 is enabled and the loopback interface (lo0) does not have a valid IPv6 address. The problem can be solved by editing the /etc/hosts file:

vi /etc/hosts
# "::1"

The preceding line needs to be commented using #.
