Introduction to vSphere 6.0


VMware defines vSphere as the foundation of Software-defined data centers. For every virtualization and cloud architecture, the end goal is to create a software-defined data center including hybrid clouds. A software-defined data center consists of virtual equivalents for each component of the infrastructure, and is delivered as a service. Every SDDC is controlled and fully automated by software. With vSphere version 6.0, VMware is implementing the same; something which has already been done with storage and network parts of the infrastructure. The end result is a uniform platform, which enables the system administrator to deploy and run data center applications with increased efficiency, while having full control over the data center through software.
