One of the key advantages of App-V is that it allows you to run multiple and often incompatible editions of the same software (for example, Office 2007 and 2013) side by side; however, this can still cause conflicts with file type associations. Although it is not yet possible to manage file type associations through the App-V management console, it is possible to modify the associations by creating custom files. This recipe shows how to delete any unneeded file type associations.
To complete these steps, you will need to complete the first recipe in this chapter ensuring that the Audacity Users security group has permission to run Audacity 2.0.6.
