Introduction

Administrators who already have a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) infrastructure in place may wish to leverage it to deploy App-V packages instead of deploying a dedicated App-V infrastructure. Depending on the administrator's choices, SCCM also offers users the choice of applications to be installed on their PC through the Application Catalog.

The recipes in this chapter will show you how to leverage this infrastructure to deploy App-V packages. Note that both the SCCM client and App-V client are installed on all of the client PCs in this example and that there is no need to deploy an App-V Publishing server or to configure Group Policy for App-V.
