Windows Azure Pack DBaaS offerings overview and capabilities


Windows Azure Pack Express natively includes APIs for DBaaS resource providers for SQL and MySQL. In addition, these two APIs are the only supported DBaaS resource providers available by default with WAP.

WAP DBaaS offerings provide the following features and capabilities on both private and service provider's cloud solutions:

  • High density and resilient DBaaS services

  • Default support for SQL and MySQL with extension capabilities for other databases offerings

  • Multitenants and shared models

  • The quality of service with granual control

  • Self-service and automation

  • Multiple service models including shared and dedicated services with IaaS and PaaS
