By using the Chatter announcement feature, you can share your words within groups with mass audiences of your organization. It will show as sticky notes on the left-hand side of your Chatter group. To enable Chatter announcement for your organization, follow these steps:
Navigate to Setup | Customize | Chatter | Chatter Groups | Groups Layout and click on the Edit link.
From the upper-floating palette on the right-hand side pane, select Actions and drag-and-drop the Announcement action to the group layout under the Publisher Action section, as shown in the following screenshot:
Click on Save, and now to go to the Groups tab.
Select the group in which you want to make any announcement. For example, we want to make an announcement in the Dreamforce 14 group.
Now, click on the publisher action, Announcement. If it is hidden, click on the More option, as shown in the following screenshot:
