View Group Policy overview


View includes six different Group Policy templates:

  • vdm_agent.adm: This consists of settings related to the configuration of the View Agent

  • vdm_client.adm: This consists of settings related to configuration of the View Client

  • vdm_server.adm: This consists of settings related to the configuration of the View Connection Server

  • vdm_common.adm: This consists of settings that are common to all View servers

  • ViewPM.adm: This consists of settings used to enable and configure View Persona Management

  • pcoip.adm: This consists of settings related to the configuration of the PCoIP display protocol

The Group Policy template files are installed along with the View Connection Server software in the Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Server\extras\GroupPolicyFiles folder.

Packages such as the View Client install its ADM template alongside the client software, in the Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Client\extras folder. This enables customization of the PCoIP settings on View...
