The following diagram illustrates the how the primary protocols used by the View Transfer Server work with other components of the View infrastructure. The diagram shows the following components of a View infrastructure:
Communication between the View Transfer Server and the vSphere servers
Communication between the View Transfer Server and the vCenter Server
Communication between the View Administrator accessing the View Manager Admin console on the View Connection Server
The arrows indicate the direction in which each protocol travels, assuming that the default settings are used.
The diagram shows only the core components of a View infrastructure that includes a View Transfer Server; as new components are introduced in later chapters, the placement of those components within the infrastructure will be shown in an updated diagram.
